Why I Love ClickUp As A Project Management Tool

If you know anything about me, you know that organization is my jam and I am always looking for ways to make my life easier in terms of productivity and keeping track of all the things. Insert my love affair with the program ClickUp

This project management, to do list master, hub of “all the things” is by far the tool I use the most in my business and life, with Google Calendar coming in second. And listen, I have tried many project management tools and while I think there are many that get the job done, ClickUp works the best for my life and offers anything I could ever possibly need.

So let’s dive into all the reasons I love it so much.

Workspaces

Workspaces is one of the main features of ClickUp and it offers a really seamless way to keep track of all the different buckets, if you will, of your life! For someone who has a lot of buckets, this is super helpful and ClickUp makes it super easy to navigate between spaces as well!

Here is a list of all the workspaces I currently have:

  • Personal

  • Your Behind the Scenes BFF (Team & Agency)

  • BTS BFF Course Creation

  • Mom’s Day Out

  • And then a space for each client we have onboarded

The cool thing about these spaces is they each have their own to do lists, which we will go over next, and when you look at your home dashboard, you can see all the tasks you need to do from all the different workspaces so you don’t have to actually go into each one to start crossing off your to do list.

Creates a Master To-Do List

Like I have said, I have used other options for project management tools, but some were really clunky in terms of just creating a basic to do list. But ClickUp is amazing at this. Like I said I can create separate to do lists in each space, and then the dashboard will pull from all the spaces and tell me exactly what needs to get done on what day, for what space. You can also create sub tasks with different dates so those sub tasks will pop up as items you need to get done as well. I also personally like I can literally check things off a list and it will disappear (you can get them back if needed), vs having to move or drag things to a separate stage or section and you are still seeing those completed tasks on your screen.

Another HUGE thing I love with ClickUp is the way you can set tasks to be reoccurring. So with clients, I have a lot of different tasks that I do either every day, every week, every month, once a quarter, etc. And I am able to set these tasks accordingly which makes it easy to keep track of things and make sure what needs to get done is getting done!

Can Upload Attachments, Create Documents, and More

This is a really cool feature because it allows for you to keep things all in one place, or close to it. I personally still use Google Drive for some things, but I would say 90% of my documents and attachments are in ClickUp. One thing I really like to use ClickUp for is content planning, whether it be for social media, the blog, email marketing, etc. and it’s nice that I can upload attachments such as graphics or photos I am planning on using with the post or email. ClickUp also has a Forms feature which is really cool. If you are someone who uses a lot of forms in your business, you can create forms in ClickUp and then automate and store the information from said forms in there as well!

Easy to Collaborate with Team Members and Clients

You can actually add people as either “members” to your Workspace (which allows them full access to all the things) or “guests’ and you can give them access to specific spaces, lists, etc. This makes it easy to collaborate with team members or clients when you are working on projects together, need approval for content, and more. Within each task, there is also a “comments” area, which makes it possible to chat back and forth with whomever is also assigned to that task. And speaking of assignments, if you are working with a team, you can assign different tasks to different people so there is no confusion on who should be doing what (and that will pop up on their dashboard).

The Free Version Actually Gives You Access to A LOT of Features

I feel like this is a big deal because if you are a business owner, you want to reduce as much overhead as possible right? Well I will say the free version of ClickUp actually allows you to do a ton with it. I would personally recommend starting here, and as you grow and need more of the features or customization, you can upgrade (the plans are pretty affordable in my opinion, especially for something I use all day every day).

I could probably write a book including all the reasons why I love ClickUp (and the hundreds of features it has as well) but this is a good start! If you are interested implementing ClickUp into your life, you can use my referral link right here to get signed up!

What questions do you have about ClickUp? Anyone else use and love it as much as I do?!
If you would like to give it a try, I will link my referral code for your right here!
